Madison, NJ (September 3) - The FDU-Florham men's soccer team earned a 3-0 win against CCNY on Wednesday night in a non-conference game on Robert T. Shields Field. The Devils picked up their first win of the 2022 campaign.

FDU Goal Scorers: Irfan Kermalli (1), Diego Trujillo (1), Christian Vriones (1)

Over the first 20 minutes of the game, the Devils were able to get away five shots towards net but came up without a goal until the 25:35 mark. Sophomore midfielder Irfan Kermalli (Parsippany, NJ) scored the first goal of the night for the Devils and the first of his collegiate career for a 1-0 edge. Kermalli was assisted by Hunter Kolmodin (Montville, NJ) off a break away.

The second half of the contest was action packed as Diego Trujillo (Bridgewater, NJ) scored in the 86:46 minute of the game, his first collegiate goal, after the ball bounced around the CCNY defense inside the box. Graduate student forward Christian Vriones (Butler, NJ) added to the box score with a goal at 89:01 timestamp as he put back his original shot that was saved by the CCNY keeper to account for the 3-0 final.
FDU-Florham men's soccer outshot CCNY, 23-1 (7-0 on goal) and took 12 of its 14 corner kicks in the first half.

Devils keeper Tiernan Grey (Staten Island, NY) earned the win (1-2-1), but was not forced to make save in tonight's game.

FDU-Florham is back in action on the road for the next four games. The Devils' next match is at Gwynedd Mercy on Saturday, September 10, at 12:00 pm.

FDU-Florham is currently running a campaign in honor of former Devils men's basketball head coach, men's golf coach and athletic director Roger Kindel.
