Doylestown, Pa. (April 27) - The FDU-Florham men's lacrosse team fell to Delaware Valley University in MAC Freedom action, 10-9, in a Wednesday night tilt at Lapinski Field.

FDU is now 3-11 overall and 1-6 in MAC Freedom play, while Delaware Valley improved to 6-10 and 3-4 in conference.

The Devils came out scoring with goals from
Nick Perillo (Jackson, NJ) and
Ronnie Trisuzzi (Rockaway, NJ) in the first quarter. The scoring continued into the second, but the Aggies found life outpacing the devils 6-5 in the stanza as FDU held a slim 7-6 lead going into the break.

The Devils were held scoreless in the third while the Aggies added two goals of their own. The FDU defense stood its ground with
MacGyver Hay (Mays Landing, NJ) leading the way tallying a team-high six caused turnovers and nine ground balls. The Devils scored twice in the fourth on a goal by Perillo, but it was not enough to overcome the deficit.

As a team Delaware Valley held the advantage in shots (37-35), ground balls (40-31), face-offs (15-8), and clears (17-for-18).

Perillo set a career high in goals netting four on seven shots for the Devils, while
Trevor Arnone (Poughkeepsie, NY) battled at the face-off X winning seven and scrapping for five ground balls.
Dan Schlupp (Holland, Pa.) competed in net making 14 saves for the Devils.

FDU will return to action on Saturday as they host their 2022 season finale against King's College in MAC Freedom play on Robert T. Shields Field. Prior to the start of the game, the Devils will honor their senior class.
