Madison, NJ (April 30) – A goal by
Brenden Fabin (Randolph, NJ) with 1:17 to play in the first overtime session lifted the FDU-Florham men's lacrosse team to a 9-8 victory over King's College (Pa.) in the 2022 season finale for the Devils.
Prior to the game, the Devils honored their senior class including
MacGyver Hay (Mays Landing, NJ),
Dan Schlupp (Holland, Pa.),
Carson Hopkins (Falls Church, Va.),
Cliff Hurley (Lacey, NJ) and
Drew Gallagher (Shamong, NJ).
Hay also broke the FDU single season record for caused turnovers as he finished the year with 47 surpassing the old mark of 44 that was set by Dan Decker during the 2016 campaign.
FDU jumped out to a 3-0 lead on one goal from
Brian Stewart (Narbeth, Pa.) and two goals from
Michael Stewart (Narbeth, Pa.). Early in the second, King's answered with five consecutive goals, four of which came from Ben Spencer.
Both teams traded goals early in the third before M. Stewart and
