Men's Lacrosse Falls to Stevens, 25-2

Hoboken, NJ (April 13) – The FDU-Florham men's lacrosse team fell to Stevens, 25-2, in MAC Freedom action this evening on the road. FDU fell to 3-8 overall on the season and 1-3 in league games after tonight's contest.
 
After Stevens scored the first two goals of the game, FDU got on the board as Nicholas Perillo (Jackson, NJ) found Michael Stewart (Narbeth, Pa.) at the 9:08 mark of the first quarter to make the score 2-1.
 
From that point on, the Ducks scored 20 consecutive goals before FDU could score again. Just 28 seconds into the fourth and on the man advantage, Perillo potted his first goal of the game on a feed by Ronnie Trisuzzi.

Stevens was paced by Joseph Grippo, who scored eight goals and dished out two assists for ten points on the night, while FDU was led defensively by MacGyver Hay (Mays Landing, NJ) and Zachary Van Zile (Kinnelon, NJ), who both tallied five ground balls piece in the effort.

As a team, Stevens outshot FDU, 63-21, went 31-of-32 on the clear and held a 53-28 advantage in ground balls. The Ducks also won 23 of 29 faceoffs tonight. Both teams scored once on the man advantage.
 
In net, Dan Schlupp (Holland, Pa.) tied his career high with 18 saves on the night for the Devils.

FDU will host Arcadia University next Wednesday, April 20 in MAC Freedom action at 7:00 pm.
