Madison, NJ (November 18) – The FDU-Florham men's basketball team (0-5) fell to Baruch College (3-1) in non-conference action tonight in a 52-44 final in the Ferguson Recreation Center.

Matthew Johnson (Oak Ridge, NJ) led the Devils with his second career double-double as he posted 14 points and 11 rebounds in addition to a game-high three blocks. Sophomore
Carson Woods (Phoenix, Ariz.) added eight points and four boards as he went 6-for-6 from the free throw line tonight. Sayeed Osorio guided Baruch to the win with 12 points and three boards.
The Devils trailed 25-18 with 4:40 to play in the first half and ended the stanza on a 9-2 run as both teams entered the break knotted at 27-27.
Joseph Carney (Garwood, NJ) capped the run with a trey at the buzzer and added a fastbreak jumper with 2:18 on the clock for five points during the spurt.
Both teams traded points over the opening 7:22 of the second half as the score stood at 38-38 following a jumper in the paint by
Michael Dabas (Middletown, NJ). Baruch answered the shot by Dabas with a 10-0 run to pull away and eventually hold the Devils off for the 52-44 road win.
As a team, FDU-Florham shot 29.8-percent (17-for-57) from the floor, 12.9-percent (4-for-31) from three point range and 66.7-percent (6-for-9) from the free throw line. The Devils produced 24 points in the paint and four points off Baruch turnovers. The Bearcats shots 36.0-percent (18-for-50) from the floor, 41.2-percent (7-for-17) from the three point line and 56.3-percent (9-for-16) from the free throw line. Baruch produced 16 points in the paint, 19 points off the bench and 13 points off FDU-Florham turnovers.
FDU-Florham will head to the University of Hartford for an exhibition matchup with the Hawks on Tuesday, November 22 at 7:00 pm.
