Madison, PA (September 28) – The FDU-Florham field hockey team was downed for the first time this season in MAC Freedom play at Arcadia, 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.

The Knights quickly put a goal on the board in the first minute and a half of the contest and extended its lead in the second quarter at the 19:41 timestamp to take a 2-0 lead.

FDU cut into the lead just before the end of the third quarter as sophomore forward Dominique Rodriguez (Pittsgrove, NJ) found junior midfielder Rachel McHale (Montville, NJ) at the 44:12 mark to narrow the deficit, 2-1.

Arcadia pulled away in the fourth quarter with two goals at the 45:43 and 48:32 timestamps to seal the conference win

Goalie Emily Prachthauser (Morristown, NJ) made five saves in the cage for FDU.

FDU will host a Breast Cancer Awareness game Wednesday, October 12, against Stevens at 7:00 pm.
