Bethlehem, Pa. (October 6) – The FDU-Florham men's tennis team fell to Moravian University, 7-2, in its fall season finale this afternoon. The Devils wrap up the fall with an 0-2 record in dual matches.
The Devils were victorious at No. 1 doubles as
Ronald Duval (Old Bridge, NJ) and
Matthew Emery (Howell, NJ) defeated Shayaan Farhad and Anthony Ronca, 8-4. Moravian won at No. 2 doubles, 8-7, and at No. 3 doubles, 8-1, for a 2-1 lead in the match heading to singles play.
Moravian needed just three points in singles action to claim the dual match and did just that as the Greyhounds were victorious at No. 1, No. 2, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6. Duval was the lone winner for the Devils in singles play as he topped Justin Szaro, 6-0, 7-6 (7-4) at No. 3.
