Men's Soccer, Arcadia Play to 1-1 Draw

Madison, NJ (October 19) – The FDU-Florham men's soccer team and Arcadia University played to a 1-1 draw tonight in a Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) matchup on Robert T. Shields Field.

FDU-Florham registered the first goal of the game with just 6:03 left in the first half as Christian Vriones (Butler, NJ) chipped the ball into the net off a cross by Irfan Kermalli (Parsippany, NJ). Vriones notched his third goal of the season, while Kermalli posted his first assist of the season.
 
Arcadia knotted the game at 1-1 in the 63rd minute as Ethan Torpey kicked the ball past the FDU-Florham defenders after a scrum in the six-yard box.

Neither team was able to find the back of the net over the final 27 minutes of action as tonight's match ended in a 1-1 draw.
 
FDU-Florham keeper Tiernan Grey (Staten Island, NY) made a pair of saves tonight for the Devils as he pushed his record to 7-3-4 on the year.

Tonight, Arcadia held statistical advantages in shots (16-3, 3-6 on goal in favor of FDU), and corner kicks (5-3).
 
FDU-Florham will travel to King's College (Pa.) on Saturday, October 22 for a MAC Freedom contest at 7:30 pm.
