Location: Madison, NJ (Robert T. Shields Field)

DeSales knocked in a goal off a free kick that was headed into the back of the net at the 6:57 mark to take an early 1-0 lead.

A penalty inside the DeSales' goalkeeper box at the 13:05 timestamp set up a penalty kick opportunity for senior midfielder Oliver Trujillo (Bridgewater, NJ), who tucked the ball into the lower right corner to tie the contest. The Devils took the advantage just under five minutes later at the 17:59 mark when sophomore midfielder Jonathan Shirley (Lincoln Park, NJ) dribbled into the Bulldogs zone and fired a shot that hit off the right post and into the net for his first goal of the season for a 2-1 edge.

The Bulldogs regained control of the contest with goals at the 25:08 timestamp on another free kick that was placed in front of the net and rebound shot on breakaway at the 35:35 mark to take a 3-2 lead.

The Devils put the contest at a draw once again at the 65:07 timestamp as first-year midfielder Mattia Assante Di Cupillo (Toms River, NJ) knocked in his first collegiate goal on a shot from the top of the box that got past the goalkeeper.

FDU took control of the contest with two goals in the final 10 minutes of the contest. The game-winning goal was knocked in by sophomore Hunter Kolmodin (Montville, NJ) at the 83:30 mark who was double assisted by senior midfielder Mateo Ladino (Montville, NJ) and freshman midfielder Diego Trujillo (Bridgewater, NJ) off a corner kick. Kolmodin's goal was the first of his collegiate career. Graduate student forward Christian Vriones (Butler, NJ) was awarded a penalty kick at the 86:26 timestamp. The goalkeeper made the save, but Vriones was able to gather the save and kick in the rebound to help the Devils pull away with a 5-3 win.

Grey tallied four saves during his milestone win.

It was the first win for FDU-Florham against DeSales since 2018 and it improved its unbeaten streak to nine.

FDU travels to Dallas, PA for a conference matchup with Misericordia Saturday, October 15, at 6:00 pm.
