Williamsport, Pa. (September 8) – In the first Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) match of the year, the FDU-Florham volleyball team fell to Lycoming College in four sets by scores of 25-13, 22-25, 25-21, 25-19.

- Lycoming took the opening set, 25-13, before FDU bounced back and tied the match with a 25-22 win in set two. The hosts however took sets three and four to win the first MAC Freedom match for either team since 2019.
- FDU sophomore Adrienne DeFuria (Randolph, NJ) produced her second double-double of the season with 12 kills and 14 digs to go along with a team-high three aces. Sophomore Charlotte Fruscione (Mahwah, NJ) added eight kills and first-year Rachel Reiter (Riverside, Calif.) swung for seven kills of her own.
- Defensively, FDU sophomore Erin Ahart (Kennelon, NJ) tallied 13 digs, while DeFuria, Amanda Ciszewski (Wayne, NJ) and Reiter all registered a solo block in tonight's match.
- Lycoming had four student-athletes with nine or more kills including two with double-digit kills en route to the win for the hosts.
Lycoming held a 57-36 advantage in kills, while FDU posted an 8-3 edge in aces. Both teams produced six blocks apiece.
FDU will host its first match of 2021 on Friday evening against SUNY Old Westbury at 7:00 pm.
