Madison, NJ (September 27) – The FDU-Florham women's tennis team earned its second win of the fall tonight as the Devils rolled past Brooklyn College by a 7-2 final. The win pushed FDU's record to 2-2, while Brooklyn fell to 0-6 on the year.
As they did against Kean, FDU took two of the three doubles matchups for the early lead.
Nicole DelRosso (Summit, NJ) and
Erin Weller (Pitman, NJ) blanked the No. 1 pairing from Brooklyn, while
Amy Mayo (Long Branch, NJ) and
Marina Lemin (Caldwell, NJ) defeated the No. 3 doubles team from Brooklyn, 8-4.
FDU took five of the six singles points to claim the win, 7-2. Dello Iacono (No. 2), Weller (No. 3) and
Maggie Cronkhite (Deep River, Conn.) (No. 4) all won their singles matchups by 8-0 scores, while DelRosso (No. 1) and Mayo (No. 5) won their respective matchups, 8-2.
The Devils will play at Lehman College on Tuesday, September 28 at 3:30 pm in its second to last matchup of the fall season.
