Immaculata, Pa. (October 5) – The FDU-Florham women's tennis team wrapped up its fall season with a 6-3 win at Immaculata today. FDU closed its fall season with a record of 3-2.
FDU jumped out to a 2-1 lead after doubles action as
Nicole DelRosso (Summit, NJ) and
Erin Weller (Pitman, NJ) won, 6-2, at No. 1 doubles, while
Kayla Dello Iacono (Moodus, NJ) and
Maggie Cronkhite (Deep River, Conn.), won 7-5 at No. 2 doubles.
DelRosso, Dello Iacono and
Amy Mayo (Long Branch, NJ) earned FDU's three points in singles play. DelRosso topped Annamarie Degnan, 8-2, at No. 1, Dello Iacono defeated Jessica Dougherty, 8-5, at No. 2 and May edged Jenna Muttik, 8-6, at No. 5.
FDU will now await for the spring season to continue its slate of contests.
