Madison, NJ (September 16) – The FDU-Florham men's soccer team defeated Centenary University (NJ), 2-1, in a non-conference matchup tonight on Robert T. Shields Field.

First Half:

• FDU tallied the first goal of the game just seven minutes into the match as Oliver Trujillo (Bridgewater, NJ) registered his second goal of the season. Centenary, despite not scoring in the half, held control of the stats over the opening 45 minutes of action as the Cyclones out shot the Devils, 11-8, and held a 4-1 edge in corner kicks.

Second Half:

• Eleven minutes into the second stanza, Centenary tied the match at 1-1 after Mahir Yilmaz notched his second goal of the season at the 56:52 mark.
   
• The game winner came from Yariel Parapi (North Bergen, NJ) in the 74th minute after he finished a free kick from Trujillo. 

FDU keeper Tiernan Grey (Staten Island, NY) tied his season-high with seven saves in tonight's contest as he pushed his record to 3-2-1. Centenary finished the match with a 19-12 edge in shots and a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
 
FDU will travel to Farmingdale State on Saturday, September 18 for a 2:00 pm non-conference matchup with the Rams.
