Madison, NJ (September 15) – The FDU-Florham women's tennis team fell to New Jersey City University, 9-0, tonight on the Village Tennis Courts.

At No. 1 doubles,
Nicole DelRosso (Summit, NJ) and
Erin Weller (Pitman, NJ) played the closest match, but fell to Eliza Clamor and Vanshita Malhotra, 8-2. NJCU secured points at No. 2 doubles (8-0) and No. 3 doubles (8-0) for the early 3-0 lead.
NJCU was dominant in singles play to secure the match by a 9-0 final. Giada Zorzan topped DelRosso, 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1, Clamor defeated
Kayla Dello Iacono (Moodus, Conn.), 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2, Malhotra defeated Weller, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 and
Maggie Cronkhite (Deep River, Conn.) fell to Brittany Waugh, 8-2, at No. 4. NJCU took No. 5 singles and No. 6 singles by 8-0 finals.
FDU travels to Kean University for its next matchup of the fall which is scheduled for Friday, September 24 at 5:00 pm.
