Madison, NJ (September 15) – FDU-Florham field hockey first-year Dominique Rodriguez (Pittsgrove, NJ) registered the game winning goal in the fourth quarter as the Devils topped Muhlenberg College, 2-1, tonight on Robert T. Shields Field

First Half:

• The game was scoreless until there was 35-seconds remaining the second quarter. Ashley Moskal (Washington, NJ) fed the ball to Haleigh Flukey (Ocean City, NJ) in front of the cage for her fourth goal of the year giving FDU a 1-0 lead after 30 minutes of action.

Second Half:

• FDU out shot Muhlenberg, 6-2, in the third quarter, but it was the Mules who found the back of the cage to tie the game. Erin Jackson ripped an unassisted strike from about 10 yards out as the game stood knotted at 1-1 through three quarters.
   
• Just 1:58 into the fourth quarter, Rodriguez scored what proved to be the game winning goal for her second score of the year and of her career. Lauren Nawrotzki (Flemington, NJ) was credited with the assist on the game winner.
   
• The FDU defense allowed Muhlenberg to take just one shot over the final 15 minutes of tonight's match. 

FDU keeper Emily Prachthauser (Morristown, NJ) earned the win (3-0) in the cage with a pair of saves for the Devils. FDU held a 12-7 edge in shots (10-3 on net) and a 10-6 advantage in penalty corners.
 
The Devils will travel to Union College (NY) on Saturday for a non-conference matchup that is slated to begin at 1:00 pm.
