EDWARDSVILLE, PA (May 1, 2021)- FDU Men's Tennis traveled to face Wilkes Universty and King's College in two matches on Saturday afternoon, falling to Wilkes 6-3 and defeating King's 6-3.
vs. Wilkes
FDU won 2-1 in the doubles matches, with sophomores
Jonathan Carasso and
Zach Puccia defeating their opponents 8-5 and sophomore
Jacob Mostoller and junior
JT Murray winning their match, 8-6. In singles, Puccia was the lone winner for the Devils, winning in two tie break sets, 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-4).Â
vs. King's
The Devils fell to the Monarchs 1-2 in doubles matches. Grad student Neil D'Adamo and Mostroller won the lone match for FDU, 8-4. On the singles side, the Devils dominated. Carasso won 6-0, 6-1. Puccia defeated his opponent, 6-4, 6-3. D'Adamo won in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) and Mostoller completed the victory for FDU with a 7-6, 6-1 win. Junior
CJ Milano picked up the fifth total singles win for FDU on the day, winning 6-3, 6-2.Â

"It was a tail of 4 quarters today with the men. They came out on fire against Wilkes, but couldn't find the next level in singles. We started slow against kings but really played well in singles. We are looking forward to the playoffs next week. Hope to finish the season strong." - Head Coach
