Madison, NJ (November 19) – FDU-Florham seniors
Haleigh Flukey (Ocean City, NJ) and
Sydney Moskal (Washington, NJ) were two of 60 student-athletes selected to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Senior Team earlier this week.
The team was announced during a live video presentation featuring member coaches on Monday in lieu of a trophy presentation at the NFHCA Senior All-Star Game, which was canceled due to limitations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Flukey, the 2021 Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Offensive Player of the Year and two-time All-MAC First Team selection, posted a league high 16 goals and a league high 37 points to go along with five assists as a senior. Flukey, who played in 65 career games in three seasons, ranks second all-time in program history in goals with 48 and fourth all-time in points with 104.
Moskal, a three-time All-MAC honoree and First Team selection in 2021, started in all 21 games for the Devils this fall and set a new career high with nine assists on the year. Her nine assists now rank fifth most in a single season in program history. In 67 career games, Moskal tallied four goals and ten assists for 20 points.
Both Flukey and Moskal guided the FDU-Florham field hockey program to an overall record of 12-9, to an appearance in the MAC Freedom semifinals and to the championship game of the 2021 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament this fall.
