IMMACULATA, Pa. - The FDU-Florham Devils field hockey team opened their season with a double-overtime loss against Immaculata, 2-1. 

 
Devils Highlights 

• Sophomore defender, Emma Dombrowski, tied up the game for the Devils in the fourth quarter.
• The lone Devils goal from Dombrowski was assisted by Sophomore forward, Janeen Rukab. 

How it Happened 

• The Mighty Mac's closed out the first fifteen minutes with a goal, as an initially blocked shot by FDU goalkeeper, Adrianna Goodwin, was followed up on the rebound and fired into the cage to score. 
• FDU and Immaculata went scoreless for the next two quarters as the Devils lead 4-1 with shots on goal. 
• Following the opening pushback late in the fourth quarter, Rukab received the ball and found Dombrowski, who finished the play with a shot into the cage for the goal that propelled the game into overtime. 
• Neither team scored in the next ten minutes of overtime 
• The Devils ended their match-up with the Mighty Mac's scoring in the opening minutes of OT2 

Up Next 
The Devils will return to home turf on Saturday, September 5 as they face Western Connecticut State at 1 PM for their home opener.
