Newburgh, NY (November 13) – The FDU-Florham men's swimming team won eight of eleven events contested today as the Devils topped Mount Saint Mary's College (NY) by a 110-44 final score.
Jack Hulsart (Old Bridge, NY),
James Dougherty (Kinnelon, NJ),
Jacob Grusemeyer (Salem, NJ) and
Anthony Muschiatti (Rahway, NJ) won the meet's opening event – the 400-medley relay – with a time of 4:03.98.
Hulsart went on to win the 1000-free in a time of 13:45.98 and place second in the 200-back in 2:24.86, Dougherty won the 400-IM in 4:41.56 and the 200-breast in 2:24.47, Grusemeyer won the 200-fly in 2:28.1 and placed third in the 200-free in 2:09.43 and Muschiatti won the 100-free in 53.00 and the 200-free in 2:02.16.
A-Izaiah Bryant (New Castle, Del.) won the final individual event on the day for the Devils as he clocked a time of 23.72 in the 50-free, while
James Butcher (West Orange, NJ) posted a pair of runner up finishes in the 1000-free (13:59.58) and the 500-free (6:45.17).
FDU will return home for a meet against Stevenson University on Sunday, November 21 at 1:00 pm. Prior to the meet, the Devils will honor their senior class.
