Immaculata, Pa. (October 5) – The FDU-Florham men's tennis team wrapped up its fall season with a 9-0 shutout win at Immaculata today. FDU closed its fall season with a 2-1 overall record.
The Devils jumped out to a 3-0 lead with a dominant performance in doubles action. The number one pairing of
Sergio De La Garza (Tijuana, Calif.) and
Jacob Mostoller (Mullica Hill, NJ) and the number to pairing of
Ronald Duval (Old Bridge, NJ) and
JT Murray (Bayville, NJ) won 6-1. The number three pairing of
Brandon Schwartz (Gladwyne, Pa.) and
Neall D'Adamo (Denville, NJ) won 6-0.
Four of the six singles matches were decided by 8-0 finals in favor of FDU as
Zach Puccia (Red Bank, NJ) at No. 1,
Kaya Esgun (Maplewood, NJ) at No. 3,
Dylan Andrada (New Brunswick, NJ) at No. 4 and
Karanveer Saini (Punjab, India) at No. 6 all blanked their opponents.
Matthew Emery (Howell, NJ) and
Matt Kolongowski (Mastic, NY), at No. 2 and No. 5 singles, respectively, won 8-1.
FDU will now await for the spring season to continue its slate of contests.
