Madison, NJ (October 27) – The FDU-Florham men's soccer team fell to Stevens Institute of Technology, 2-0, in its 2021 regular season finale tonight on Robert T. Shields Field.
FDU closed its 2021 regular season with a record of 8-8-2 and will await selections for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) postseason tournament in a couple of weeks. Seedings and a bracket for that tournament will be released following the NCAA tournament selection show on Monday, November 8.

Stevens scored once in the first and once in the second en route to the 2-0 win. The Ducks tallied their first goal in the 13th minute as Bruno Andino fed the ball to Cristiano Hocken for the early advantage.

Tiernan Grey (Staten Island, NY) kept the Devils in the game with a career-high 12 saves tonight which included three saves in a span of ten seconds. The first in that stretch came on a missed penalty kick in the 64th minute and two shots by Luca Campbell ad Adam Silva were also stopped by Grey keeping the Devils deficit at just one.
Stevens added an insurance goal in the 84th minute as Hocken found Dylan Inguardi for the 2-0 advantage and that's where the score stood at the conclusion of 90 minutes of play.
The Ducks out shot FDU, 21-5 (14-2 on goal) and held an 11-2 differential in corner kicks.
FDU will wait until November 8 to find out its postseason fate in the ECAC tournament. Be sure to keep an eye out for news on FDUdevils.com as the selections get closer. With one postseason win for FDU, the Devils will register their most wins since the 2015 campaign.
