Doylestown, Pa. (October 23) – Led by two goals from both
Haleigh Flukey (Ocean City, NJ) and
Emilee Vizzuso (Montville, NJ), the FDU-Florham field hockey team defeated Delaware Valley University in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) action this afternoon on the road.

FDU scored one goal in the first quarter and four times in the second en route to the 5-1 victory. Flukey scored FDU's lone goal in the first quarter just 1:04 into the game as she dribbled towards the cage and shot it from five yards out.
In the second quarter, Flukey scored 50 seconds into the stanza and less than two minutes later Vizzuso found the back of cage on a penalty stoke for the 3-0 advantage. Before the quarter was up, Vizzuso scored her eighth goal of the year off a feed by
Lauren Nawrotzki (Flemington, NJ) and
Kendall Moore (Ocean Township, NJ) notched her third goal of the season on an unassisted strike.
Delaware Valley scored its lone goal on as Ashley Birmingham converted a penalty stroke.
FDU held a slim 14-13 edge in shots (8-8 on goal) and a 9-7 advantage in penalty corners. In goal, FDU keeper
Megan March (Glen Burnie, Md.) made five saves in 60 minutes of action, while Aggies keeper Alyssa Rudd stopped the ball three times.
With a postseason berth already secured, FDU's game at Stevens Institute of Technology on Wednesday, October 27 at 7:00 pm will determine seeding. FDU can be seeded first, second or third in the four team bracket.
