Madison, NJ (October 16) – The FDU-Florham field hockey team celebrated Senior Night this evening with a 5-1 win over Wilkes University in a Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) matchup on Robert T. Shields Field.

Prior to tonight's matchup with Wilkes, the Devils honored their six seniors and two graduate students in a pregame Senior Night ceremony. FDU honored Megan March (Glen Burnie, Md.), Haleigh Flukey (Ocean City, NJ), Sara Redington (Phillipsburg, NJ), Emilee Vizzuso (Montville, NJ), Rebecca Steinberger (Hazlet, NJ), Alexa Zubulake (Whitehouse Station, NJ), Sydney Moskal (Washington, NJ) and Kendall Moore (Ocean Township, NJ).
 
Flukey wasted little time scoring on Senior Night as she ripped a shot into the back of the cage just 20 seconds into the game. Ashley Moskal (Washington, NJ) scored twice more for the Devils prior to the buzzer sounding at the end of the first quarter. Her first goal was assisted by Flukey off a penalty corner and her second was assisted by Steinberger, her first career assist.
 
Morgan Murphy scored the lone goal of the game for Wilkes in the 18th minute, but FDU answered with back-to-back goals prior to halftime for the 5-1 advantage. Vizzuso scored two goals in less than four minutes – once off a feed by Flukey and once off an assist by A. Moskal.

Neither team scored in the second half as the Devils came away with the 5-1 MAC Freedom win on Senior Night. 
 
Flukey ended the night with four points (one goal, two assists), A. Moskal posted five points (two goals, one assist) and Vizzuso wrapped up the game with four points (two goals). In net, March made four saves for the Devils as her record pushed to 5-5 on the season.
 
FDU will play its final regular season home game of the 2021 campaign on Wednesday, October 20 as the Devils will host Arcadia University at 7:00 pm on Robert T. Shields Field.
