POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (September 7, 2019) - The FDU women's cross country team finished sixth at the Ron Stonitsch Invitational, hosted by Vassar College Saturday.
"Today XC proved that times can improve when you take the nerves off," explained Head Coach
John Cahill. "We went out today in the first mile at a calm state and from there pushed each miler harder and harder. There's this pressure to go out intensely in the first mile but if you tell yourself, run your own race, it will line in with your values as a runner, and you can achieve a better state of racing."
FDU recorded 180 team points on the day.
