MADISON, N.J. (April 23, 2019) - The FDU-Florham women's tennis team was knocked off by Moravian College in non-conference action Tuesday.
FDU falls to 12-4 on the season, as Moravian improves to 15-1.
The Devils fell into a 3-0 hole after doubles play, losing at all three flights. Sophomore
Nicole DelRosso and junior
Mia Capozzoli were topped 8-3 at No. 1, as junior
Christine Kenny and senior
Allyson Wolf were bested by the same score. It was closer at the bottom of the lineup, as sophomore
Kira Bradley and junior
Logan Squires battled before dropping an 8-6 decision.
DelRosso fell in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 singles, with Kenny falling 6-0, 6-2. Freshman
Erin Weller also fought hard at No. 6, but was knocked off 6-0, 6-3. Wolf was able to force a third set in her match at No. 3 singles after dropping the first frame 6-1 She pitched a 6-0 shutout in the second but was unable to complete the comeback, falling 10-4 in the tie-breaking set.

The Devils will host two matches tomorrow, starting with Delaware Valley University at 3:30 p.m. After that, the College of Saint Elizabeth will cross the street for a 6 p.m. showdown.
