MADISON, N.J. (April 22, 2019) - The FDU-Florham men's tennis team dropped just eight games en route to a 9-0 win over St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn Monday.
FDU improves to 12-6 on the season.
The Devils breezed to an easy 3-0 lead after doubles play, losing just one game. Junior
Chris Fiorenza and
JT Murray teamed up at No.1 doubles while junior
Kevin Weller and rookie
CJ Milano partnered at the No. 3 flight. Both duos blanked their opponents 8-0, while seniors
Rich Bennett and
Brendon Urbano won 8-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Weller and Murray each earned their second shutouts of the day, winning 8-0 at No. 2 and 4 singles respectively. Freshman
John Bricker and sophomore
Tyler Schacher also their match 8-0 at No. 3 and 5 singles, as Bennett and Urbano completed the sweep with wins. Bennett won 8-3 at the top of the lineup, as Urbano doubled up his opponent 8-4.
