MADISON, N.J. (April 13, 2019) - The FDU-Florham men's tennis team knocked off Eastern University 6-3 Saturday afternoon.
The Devils improve to 10-6 overall, 2-2 within the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom.
FDU led 2-1 entering singles play after picking wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles flights. Freshman

Tyler Schacher for a thrilling 8-7 (7-1) victory at No. 2 before senior

JT Murray cruised to an 8-2 win at the bottom of the doubles lineup.

Kevin Weller each went three sets at No. 4 and No. 2 singles respectively. Both dropped the opening set before rebounding to claim the second to force the tiebreaker. Neither was able to fully complete the comeback, each losing the third and final set.
Bennett earned a straight-set victory at the top of the singles lineup, winning 6-3, 6-3. Bricker, who was the lone double winner on the day, picked up a 6-3, 6-0 victory at No. 3 singles. Looking to close out the successful day for the Devils was freshman
Michael LaNeve at No. 6. LaNeve picked up a shutout, winning 6-0, 6-0.
The Devils continue conference play on Thursday, heading out to Pennsylvania to take on DeSales University at 3:30 p.m.
