Kira Bradley recorded her 50th career win as the FDU-Florham women's tennis team picked up a 5-4 win over Manhattanville College Wednesday.
FDU improves to 11-2, 2-1 within the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom.
Despite dropping an 8-4 decision at No. 1 singles, the Devils rebounded with 8-1 wins at the next two flights to take control of the match entering singles. Bradley teamed with junior
Logan Squires to hit the 50-win mark at No. 2, while junior
Mia Capozzoli and sophomore
Nicole DelRosso earned the win at the No. 3 flight.
Manhattanville picked up wins in the top two singles flight before also grabbing a win at No. 5. DelRosso rebounded from her first set loss at No. 1 singles to win the second 7-6. The sophomore was bested in the third and final frame 6-4. Senior
Allyson Wolf also went three sets but was on the positive side of the decision. The senior bounced back after dropping the first frame to win 6-1, 6-3 over the next two.
Bradley cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 straight-set victory at No. 4 singles before freshman
Erin Weller capped the day for the Devils with a win at the bottom of the lineup. The rookie breezed through her opponent, winning 6-1, 6-0.
