Rich Bennett and junior
Kevin Weller each won two matches as the FDU-Florham men's tennis team doubled up Brooklyn College 6-3 Tuesday.
The Devils improved to 4-3 on the season while Brooklyn dropped to 0-2.
FDU controlled doubles play, dropping just six games over the three flights. Bennett and Weller teamed up at the top of the lineup and pitched a shutout, winning 8-0. Freshman

Chris Fiorenza won 8-5 while rookie
Michael LaNeve and sophomore
Tyler Schacher won 8-1. Fiorenza and Murray have worked out nicely at the No. 2 flight this spring, improving to 4-1 as a duo.
The Devils, who needed just two more wins to clinch the match, picked up victories at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles. Bennett won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 while Weller earned a 7-5, 6-3 triumph at the second flight. Brooklyn battled back, notching victories at the bottom flights. Both LaNeve and Fiorenza went three sets but were unable to secure the victories. FDU closed out the win with a big win at No. 3 thanks to freshman
John Bricker. Bricker dropped the opening frame 6-3 before rebounding with a 6-2 win in the middle stanza. The rookie ended the night with a resounding 10-2 third set victory.
