CENTER VALLEY, Pa. (October 12, 2019) – The FDU women's cross country team placed seventh at the DeSales University Invitational Saturday.

FDU totaled 207 points, just four behind sixth-place Drew University.

Sophomore Clare Posillico was finished 31st, crossing the finish line in 26:14.1. Like DiCristina, Posillico set a personal-best, shaving 37.1 seconds off her Aggies Open time.

Sophomore Samantha Rutledge placed 74th as junior Kristina Wierzbowski was 81st. Rutledge notched a time of 28:58.1 with Wierzbowski clocking in at 29:51. Rounding out the Devils competitors was senior Rebecca Wodzinski. Wodzinski turned in a time of 34:53.4.

FROM THE COURSE
"Everyone set their goal-time, and a majority of the team that hit their time was within 30 seconds," explained Head Coach John Cahill. "The group looked strong running with their form staying in check, which for a runner is challenging to do, especially on the hilly DeSales course. I feel confident going into the MAC with our performance today."
