MORRISTOWN, N.J. (October 11, 2019) – The FDU women's tennis team closed out a perfect fall season with a 9-0 triumph over the College of Saint Elizabeth Friday.
FDU ends the fall with a 6-0 mark, while the Eagles drop to 0-1.
The Devils surrendered just two games in doubles play en route to claiming all three flights. Seniors
Mia Capozzoli and Christine teamed up for an 8-0 victory at the No. 3 flight, while juniors
Kira Bradley and
Nicole DelRosso partnered at the top of the lineup. They were victorious 8-1, as were senior
Logan Squires and junior
Brooke Dorsey.
The bottom of the Devils lineup was brilliant, as flights 3-6 all earned 8-0 wins. Capozzoli and Dorsey picked up their second wins of the afternoon, as sophomore
Erin Weller and senior
Kasia Kasztelan also notched shutouts wins. Weller competed at the No. 4 flight, as Kasztelan triumphed at No. 6. DelRosso and Kenny also were double winners, with DelRosso claiming an 8-3 win at the top of the lineup with Kenny gaining an 8-1 victory at No. 2.
