Box Score NEWARK, N.J. (September 22, 2018) - The FDU-Florham women's tennis team picked up a 9-0 victory in the season-opener against Rutgers-Newark Saturday evening.

The sophomore duo of Nicole DelRosso and Kira Bradley picked up their first win of the season, notching an 8-3 decision at No. 1 doubles. Juniors Logan Squires and Christine Kenny earned a 8-3 triumph as well, while newcomers Meghann Hargis and Erin Weller had a strong at the No. 3 spot. Hargis and Weller registered an 8-1 win in the collegiate debut for both.

Junior Allyson Wolf and sophomore Brooke Dorsey notched shutouts at No. 3 and No. 6 singles, each winning 6-0, 6-0.  Bradley, Kenny and DelRosso each picked up singles wins in addition to their doubles triumphs. Bradley dropped only one game, while Kenny fought for a tough 8-6, 6-0 win. Junior Mia Capozzoli also dropped just one game, cruising to a 6-0, 6-1 win.

FDU is back in action next Friday, hitting the road to take on Lycoming at 3 p.m.
