MADISON, N.J. (September 15, 2018) - The FDU-Florham field hockey team tied the school-record with eight goals in an 8-3 rout over New England College.
The Devils equaled the mark that was established on September 4, 2010 against Notre Dame (Md.) College. FDU improved to 5-1 while New England College fell to 8-3.
The guests wasted no time getting on board, as senior
Brooke Sherwin notched her second goal of the season just 1:17 into the contest. The Devils kept up the pressure, and doubled their lead in the eighth minute. Senior
Kelly O'Neill fed junior
Maggie Sohns, who converted the pass for her second goal of the season.
The Devils did not allow a shot in the frame, and added to their lead in the 23rd minute. After entering the game 33 seconds earlier, junior
Jessica Pietracatella found O'Neill, who scored her team-leading fourth tally of the season. O'Neill and Sohns each added their second goals of the half as the lead swelled to 5-0. With 23 seconds left in the stanza, senior
Stephanie Noll netted her first goal of the campaign.
Sophomore
Riley Mullan got into the scoring, stretching the Devils lead to 7-0 in thr 56th minute. After the Pilgrims broke the scoring drought with three straight tallies, sophomore
Allison Attardi capped off the Devils scoring with her goal in as many games.

Brianna Suralik each had five shots, as O'Neill and sophomore
