MADISON, N.J. (April 30, 2018) - The FDU women's tennis team will be hosting the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Semifinals Tuesday when they host DeSales.

MATCH INFORMATION
The match, which will begin at 3:30 p.m, will be held at the Drew University Tennis Courts.

CONFERENCE SEEDING
Wilkes earned the No. 1 seed and will host No. 4 seeded Misericordia. The Devils earned the No. 2 seed with 5-1 mark in the MAC Freedom, while DeSales was No. 3 with a 4-2 record in the conference.

FROM THE COURT
"We are excited for the match tomorrow,"  said Head Coach Tom Battaglia. "A chance to play in the MAC Championship is an honor and our women know what's on the line. DeSales will be very tough. They have a very solid lineup top to bottom. We have to go out there and play one point at a time because that's all we can control now. If we do that, we will definitely have a good chance at moving forward."

DOUBLE-DIGIT WINS
The team tallied a .723 winning percentage singles play this season, as four players recorded double-digit singles this season. Capozzoli and DelRosso each notched 13, while Bradley and Grande recorded 12 apiece.

DOUBLE TROUBLE
The Devils boast a .672 winning percentage in doubles action, including identical 12-3 marks at No. 2 and No. 3 flights. Bradley and Grande each are 12-3, while DelRosso has notched 11 victories during her rookie season.

AWARD SEASON
Capozzoli, Bradley and DelRosso all have been selected as the MAC Freedom Player of the Week this season. The Devils were the only MAC Freedom school to have three different student-athletes named Player of the Week this season.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING
"We're really excited for our first round of playoffs!" Grande exclaimed. "Earning the second seed in the conference this year has been huge for our program, and we're all really to start competing for the title. I have nothing but faith in my team, and I know we will be successful. It has been such an honor to play with such a hard-working group of athletes, I'm incredibly proud of my team and can't wait to compete with them in MAC Playoffs."
