DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (April 18, 2018) - The FDU women's tennis team stayed unbeaten in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom with an 8-1 win over Delaware Valley Wednesday.
The team moves to 9-3 overall, and 4-0 within the conference.
The Devils swept through doubles action winning all three matches handily. Freshman
Nicole DelRosso and sophomore
Christine Kenny controlled No. 1 doubles with a big 8-1 win. Senior
Serina Grande and freshman
Kira Bradley shut out their opponents at No. 2 doubles 8-0, while sophomore
Mia Capozzoli and freshman
Brooke Dorsey completed the sweep with an 8-5 victory.
DelRosso put up a shutout at No. 1 singles, cruising to a 6-0, 6-0 win. Grande and Bradley also notched 6-0, 6-0 triumphs, while Dorsey was a straight set winner 6-1, 6-4 at No. 6 singles. Capozzoli dropped the first at No. 5 singles 4-6 before rebounding to claim the next two 6-3, 10-7.
FDU is back in action Saturday, hosting Misericordia at 11 a.m.
