DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (April 18, 2018) - The FDU men's tennis team notched a 9-0 victory over Delaware Valley Wednesday.
The Devils improve to 11-2 overall, including 3-1 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom.
The top three singles flights without much fight back, as seniors
Max Moscowitz and
Chris Ly along with sophomore
Kevin Weller won 6-0, 6-0 respectively. Sophomore
Brendon Urbano controlled the final spot in the lineup, earning a 6-2, 6-1 victory.
Freshman
Tyler Schacher tallied a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4, but sophomore
Chris Fiorenza struggled at No. 5 singles. Fiorenza dropped the first set 3-6, but stayed resilient to win the next two 6-0, 6-4.
Ly and Fiorenza shutout their opponent 8-0 at No. 2 doubles, while Moscowitz and Weller hung on to an 8-6 triumph. Schacher and Urbano teamed up for the first time this season, recording an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles.
FDU is back in action Saturday morning, welcoming Misericordia to campus for an 11 a.m. match.
