MORRISTOWN, N.J. (April 13, 2018) - The FDU women's tennis team did not surrender a game during doubles play en route to a 9-0 win over St. Elizabeth Friday afternoon.
The Devils improved to 6-3 in dual matches this season. They will hit the road tomorrow for road contests against Eastern and Penn State Brandywine.
The duo of
Nicole DelRosso and
Serina Grande,
Amelia Vetto and
Allyson Wolf, and
Mia Capozzoli and
Brooke Dorsey each won their match 8-0. St. Elizabeth did not put up of a battle at doubles, as FDU rolled through each match.
Freshman
Kira Bradley and Capozzoli won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 and No. 5 respectively. Capozzoli currently has one singles loss on the season, falling to Grande during tournament play in the fall.
DelRosso, sophomore
Christine Kenny and Vetto each only dropped one game, winning with 6-0, 6-1 scores. Additionally sophomore
Kascia Kasztelan earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles.
"It was great getting our entire roster into the lineup," said head coach
Tom Battaglia. "They have all worked hard this season so it was fun to reward their effort."
