BRONX, N.Y. (October 2, 2018) - The FDU-Florham women's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 victory over Lehman College Tuesday.
The Devils remain perfect on the season, improving to 3-0. Lehman drops to 2-5 on the season.
The sophomore duo of
Kira Bradley and
Nicole DelRosso improved their record to 3-0 with an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles. Senior
Allyson Wolf and junior
Christine Kenny cruised to an 8-3 victory at No. 2 doubles, but Lehman cut the lead in half with an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles heading into singles play.
FDU picked up all six wins in singles play, led by a 6-0, 6-0 blanking from Wolf at No. 3 singles. Kenny and sophomore
Brooke Dorsey each notched 6-1, 6-1 triumphs at No. 2 and No. 5 respectively, as DelRosso cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles.
Junior
Mia Capozzoli earned a 6-3, 6-2 win in the middle of the lineup, as freshman
Erin Weller battled for a three set win at No. 6 singles. Weller dropped the first set 6-4, but battled back to win 6-4, 10-6 in the final two.
FDU is back in action tomorrow, heading to Western Connecticut for a 5 p.m. match.
