MORRISTOWN, N.J. (October 13, 2018) - The FDU-Florham volleyball team notched straight set wins over Penn State-Berks and the College of St. Elizabeth Saturday afternoon.
The Devils improve to 10-17 with the two wins.
FDU-FLORHAM 3, PENN STATE-BERKS 0 (25-14, 25-21, 25-13)
With the score in the opening tied at five, junior
Nathalia Padron served up seven straight points off a side-out to push FDU in front for good. Senior
Lauren Harris notched a pair of kills during the run for the Devils. Penn State Berks closed to within eight, but would be able to get no closer. An unforced service error and a Harris kill ended the frame.
The Nittany Lions grabbed a 13-7 lead in set two thanks a 7-1 rally. The lead stayed at six at 18-12 before the Devils took control. Sophomore

Marissa Lehnert helped erase the deficit, with senior
Katie Quinlan slamming down a kill to level the set at 19. Berks would score the next two points before FDU closed out with five straight tallies.
FDU dominated the third set, with Morse serving up 10 straight points. The lead reached double-digits courtesy of a kill from sophomore
Liz Moise and an ace from Harris. Padron ended the match with kill as she pinned down a set from freshman
Kacie Ros.
Harris notched a team-best 18 digs 15 kills against three errors, while Moise and Lehnert each had three rejections. As a team, the Devils totaled 10 service aces.
FDU-FLORHAM 3, St. ELIZABETH 0 (25-7, 25-10, 25-10)
The Devils committed just six attack errors over the three sets, hitting at .418 clip. The Eagles hit a mere .105, including .053 in the second stanza. Harris recorded a double-double of 10 kills and 10 digs, as Quinlan had 12 kills and no errors.
FDU is back in action on Tuesday, traveling out to take on Delaware Valley for a 7 p.m. Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom contest.
