MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham women's basketball team won their sixth-straight game in a 75-66 Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom victory over King's College (Pa.) in the Ferguson Recreation Center Wednesday night.
The Devils move to 10-4 on the season and 3-0 in the MAC Freedom as the Monarchs fall to 7-7 overall and 2-1 in the conference.
Sophomore

Bria Smith recorded a double-double with 11 rebounds and 10 points.
The Monarchs put up an early fight, jumping out with an 18-11 lead over FDU in the first quarter. But the Devils stayed composed and used a 7-0 run to tie up the game, 23-23, with 2:55 remaining in the half.
Williams sunk a three-pointer but two good layups from the Monarchs gave the visitors a 28-26 lead over the Devils at half time.
A minute and 10 seconds into the second stanza, Smith netted two-points to tie things at 28 each and a layup from Williams gave the Devils the lead – which they would never give up.
FDU took advantage of six consecutive free throws made by Williams to increase their lead to five with 3:36 to go in the third quarter.
King's was helped by the talents of Mackenzie Yori who added 15 points and Erin Schmidt who scored four three-pointers in the fourth quarter alone.
Still the Devils were able to hold their momentum and used a 21-13 third quarter to seal the triumph.
Up next, FDU travels to Center Valley, Pa. to face DeSales University on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 1 p.m.
