MAHWAH, N.J. -- The FDU-Florham field hockey team held off Ramapo College in the final minutes of play to edge out a 3-2 victory on Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference contest.
The victory pushed the Devils to 4-1 on the season as the Roadrunners dropped to 2-3.

With momentum on their side, FDU-Florham pounded shots on Ramapo's cage until senior forward
Kelly O'Neill broke through on an assist from sophomore
Maggie Sohns to make it 2-0 at half time.Â
The Devils' offense continued to press at the start of the second half, dominating the field with shots.Â

Ariana Wexler who fired in her first collegiate goal on an Allen assist in the 53rd minute to ensure the Devils' victory.
With 2:49 remaining in the contest, the Roadrunners used a penalty corner to spark their offense as Lauren Berry scored a goal off a Claudia Wetzel assist to put Ramapo on the board.
Just about a minute later, Gianna Mouskourie notched an unassisted tally to close the scoring gap but FDU-Florham used a timeout to regroup and and were able to hold off the Roadrunners to earn the win.
The Devils outshot Ramapo, 24-5 throughout the contest and sophomore
Samantha Rubin made two saves.
FDU-Florham returns home to Robert T. Shields Field to take on Union College on Friday, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m.
