MADISON, N.J. (October 31, 2017) - After claiming the No. 3 seed in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Tournament, the FDU volleyball team is preparing for its semifinal match.
TOURNAMENT INFO

LAST MEETING

MILESTONES REACHED
Senior
Melissa Gaffney and junior
Lauren Harris became the fifth and sixth players in program history to record 1,000 career kills.
SETTING THE BAR HIGH
Senior
Courtney Conte hit the 1,000 assist in a season mark, and currently is third on the all-time list in single season list in program history. The senior is 13th nationally with 1,078 and is tops in the MAC Freedom. "We need defensive Courtney," said Head Coach
Jason Madsen. "In the games we've been successful, she's played solid defense. A lot of people expect the setter to run the offense, but when she plays defense, we all feed off of it."
ACES UP
Senior
Rachel Catena leads the MAC Freedom with 55 service aces, and team as a whole has combined for 254.
EASTERN REPORT
The Eagles enter the tournament with an 18-12 mark, including a 6-1 record in conference. Their loss to DeSales was the program's first in conference since 1999.
COACH SPEAK
"I'm very happy with the way the girls performed this season," Madsen said. "Sometimes it could be difficult to adjust to a new coach, but they're the ones who have put in the work during practice and games this season. Hitting milestones along the way this season has been a catalyst in driving the girls to do better on the court."
