MADISON, NJ -- The Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham volleyball team swept Wilkes University, 3-0, in a Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom match on Wednesday, Sept. 28 in the Ferguson Recreation Center.
The Devils improved to 11-6 on the season (2-1 MAC Freedom) as the Lady Colonels dropped to 8-9 overall (1-2 MAC Freedom).
FDU-Florham outplayed Wilkes, recording 44 kills to the Colonel's 28. On the back end, the Devils picked up 53 digs to Wilkes' 31.
Sophomore
Lauren Harris led the way with 10 kills, freshman
Nathalia Padron recorded nine and junior
Melissa Gaffney contributed eight in the night.
Sophomore
Kate Quinlan contribued a pair of aces and two blocks in the effort as junior setter
Courtney Conte earned 32 assists.
Junior
Rachel Catena continued her strong defensive campaign for the Devils with 15 digs while Harris and Padron combined for 20 digs.
The Devils return to action in the MAC Crossover Tournament on Saturday Oct. 1 when they take on Widenery University at 11 a.m., followed by Lebanon Valley College at 2 p.m. in Annville, Pa.
