MADISON, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham field hockey team stormed its way to a 3-0 win on the road against Moravian College at John Makuvek Field on Saturday, Sept. 17.
The Devils scored all three of their goals in the first half in a victory that lifted their record to 4-3 and dropped the Cougars to 0-5.
Sophomore midfielder
Chrissy Penney wasted no time in putting the Devils on top with a goal at 1:38 off a rebound.
At 17:58, senior forward
Kim Davis scored her fifth goal of the season with a blast into the Cougar's net off the goalie's pads.
The Devils' third and final goal came off the stick of Penney who tapped in a cross from Davis.
FDU-Florham put together 36 total shots in the game to Moravian's three and had an 11-0 penalty corner advantage. Still the Devils could only slip three goals past the Moravian's goalie, Megan Kanyuk, who made 21 saves in a stellar effort. Kanyuk kept FDU-Florham scorless in the second with 14 saves.
FDU-Florham returns to action at Drew University on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 4:30 p.m.Â
