EWING, NJ -- The Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham men's soccer team fell to The College of New Jersey, 4-1, on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at Lions' Stadium in non-conference action.

The Devils fell to 0-4-2 on the season as the Lions jumped to 3-3.

Despite being outshot 14-6 in the first half, a solid Devils defense thwarted TCNJ's offensive effort to leave the half even at 0-0.

However, it was the Lions who struck first in the second when Sean Etheridge headed the ball into the Devils' net to make it 1-0 at 56:58.

Almost 10 minutes later, the Devils answered back though, as junior Shawn Jennings scored off a short pass from senior Dylan Meyler on the right side of the field.

FDU-Florham struggled to gain offensive attempts and finally the Lions were rewarded for their continuous shots as Nick Costelloe, Mateo Panizza and Matt Skinner each scored a goal apiece to lift TCNJ past the Devils, 4-1.

Devils' junior goalie JT Bretschneider made eight saves in the loss and freshman forward Justin Estremera took four shots in the offensive effort.

The Devils return to Madison, N.J. for their home opener on Saturday, Sept. 17 against Marywood University at Robert T. Shields Field at 1 p.m.
