MADISON, NJ – The Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham field hockey team dominated its way to a 7-0 victory over the Ramapo College Roadrunners on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at Robert T. Shields Field.
The triumph pushed the Devils' record to 3-2 as Ramapo College fell to 2-2 on the season.
Sophomore forward
Brooke Sherwin notched two goals and senior forward
Kim Davis recorded a goal and two assists in the night.
Senior defender
Erin O'Connell grabbed her first goal of the season at 16:51 in the first, scoring off a Davis penalty corner to give the Devils the 1-0 lead.
Davis struck next just under five minutes later off a pass from junior forward
Marissa Kowalskie.
But it was Sherwin who consistently impressed as an offensive spark for the Devils. Sherwin scored her first goal with just 30 seconds left in the half off an assist from sophomore
Chrissy Penney.
Then, just one minute into the second half, Sherwin received the ball at the 35-yard line and took it all the way to the Roadrunners' net before slamming the ball into the left side of the net to put 4-0 up on the scoreboard.

FDU-Florham outshot the Roadrunners, 31-3 and had a 14-1 penalty corner advantage to give sophomore goalie
Samantha Rubin the shutout. Ramapo goalies Emily Wisneski and Emily Kramer combined for 20 saves in the loss.
The Devils take on Rowan University next on Thursday, Sept. 15 in Glassboro, N.J. at 7 p.m.
