GALLOWAY, N.J. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham men's soccer team suffered a tough, 4-1, Ramapo College in the second day of the Stockton Seashore Classic on Sunday, Sept. 11.
The Devils fall to 0-3-2 while the Roadrunners remain undefeated at 4-0.
FDU-Florham struck first as junior Shawn Jennings scored a goal from 25-yards out at 18:09 to take the lead.Â
However, the Roadrunners responded in the final 10 minutes of the first half to even up the game on a Ryan Campbell penalty kick.Â
Campbell continued his dominance over the Devils in the second half, scoring twice more for a hat trick. Campbell scored the go-ahead goal that FDU-Florham couldn't match after getting the ball off a giveaway and scoring from 10-yards out.Â
In between Campbell's second and third goal, Edward Franzoni picked up a point off his own rebound to add to the Roadrunner's scoreboard.
Campbell finished off his stellar campaign after winning the ball in midfield and taking a breakaway alone to score Ramapo's fourth and final goal of the day.
Junior John Fredy Gutierrez did his best to spark an attack for the Devils with three shots, but to no avail.
Ramapo's Ryan Sprague made five saves in the win as FDU-Florham goalie Frank Maggiore Jr. stopped four.
The Devils hit the road next Wednesday, Sept. 14 when they take on The College of New Jersey at Lions' Stadium at 4 p.m.
