MADISON, N.J. -- The FDU-Florham men's soccer team highlighted five goals, each from different scoreres in a 5-0 shutout over conferene foe Wilkes University on Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Florham Campus Grass Fields.
The win pushed the Devils to 3-6-3 on the season and 1-1 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom.Â
The Devils wasted no time as
Jay Bower netted the game-winner off a rebound just 2:55 into the game.
Robby Bonjione followed up just minutes later with a goal of his own off an assist from
George Batista after the ball hit the right post and deflected off the left post and over the goal line.
With just three minutes left in the first half, freshman forward
Justin Estremera got a foot on the ball for the third goal of the day.
In the second half, junior forward
Jose Guardado placed the ball neatly to the bottom left corner of the Wilkes net off an assist from senior defender
Sebastian Gallo.
Senior forward
AJ Carnevale completed the scoring with a goal in the 56th minute of a rebound from forward
Andrew Ruane's shot.Â
Next up, FDU-Florham travels to Doylestown, Pa. to take on Delaware Valley University on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m.
