PURCHASE, N.Y. --  The FDU-Florham volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Manhattanville on Wednesday night but clinched the No. 4 spot in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Championships.

The Devils are now 15-13 on the season 4-3 in the MAC Freedom.

Junior Melissa Gaffney was everywhere for FDU-Florham, notching 16 assists and 11 digs for a double-double while adding three kills and one block.

Sophomore Lauren Harris led the offensive effort with nine kills while junior Natalie Knudsen contributed five and sophomore Kate Quinlan had four.

Also making a statement was was junior Rachel Catena who moved for 18 digs and led the team with three aces. 

FDU-Florham suffered from being without their main setter througout the majority of the match and in turn, struggled to get ahead in the match.

Nevertheless, the Devils close their regular season and set their sights on the MAC Championships at the start of November.
