MADISON, N.J. -- The FDU-Florham Devils defeated Delaware Valley, 1-0, in their game dedicated to raising awareness for Hunter Syndrome and Type 1 Juvenile Diabets on Wednesday night at Robert T. Shields Field.
The conference game was the Devils' sixth-straight victory and pushed them 11-5 on the season and 4-1 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom.
Senior forward
Kim Davis scored the lone goal of the night from the left side off a great feed from senior defender
Erin O'Connell to tally the win. That was Davis' 52nd career goal which placed her in the MAC Freedom Top 10 for All-Time Career Goals.
The Devils dominated the Aggies' half throughout the game, firing 20 shots to their opponents' four, but the solid goaltending of Rosie Bishop halted the FDU-Florham from widening the scoring gap.
Sophomore defender
Makayla Pak played a standout game on defense, preventing the Aggies from getting shots off and taking two of her own.
On the attack junior
Marissa Kowalskie and sophomore
Brooke Sherwin added a spark with three shots each in the effort.
Sophomore goalie
Samantha Rubin made two saves in the shutout.
The Devils return to action on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. against King's College (Pa.) in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
